Because inside every boy...is an Albert Einstein... waiting impatiently for that one Great Teacher...to set him free...
 

The Navajo Institute for Social Justice (NISJ) is offering a radical new program for boys grades 1-6. The program is a 12-week residential program hosted at the Institute's headquarters: the Great Spirits Ranch in the Four Corners region outside Gallup.

Every child possesses special talents and abilities. This program is designed to unlock those abilities, build self-confidence, encourage creativity, and strengthen the mind, body and spirit. The Great Spirits Ranch has been renovated to provide a vast number of learning and recreation activities for the boys.

At the Einstein Project, Children have the following opportunities:

Improve reading skills using state-of-the-art computer technology
Swim lessons
Traditional stories
Arts and Crafts
Basketball fundamentals
Navajo culture
Learn to create personal student webpages
Learn to building robots
Arts and crafts
Models of human body systems
Models of the Solar System
Field trips to Canyon de Chelly, Monument Valey, Shiprock Peak, Hillerman Country
Singing, Writing, Art, Poetry, keeping a Journal
Indoor games
Hogan activities

The Einstein program is designed for a small, selective group of students. All applicants must interview in person. Two grade level academic jump expected in one semester.
