2010 Gallup Navajo Racism Survey

Dear Participant,

This survey will take about 10 minutes of your time. Participants must meet three criteria:

1) You must be over 18 years of age.
2) You must live within Gallup City Limits or have attended school(s) in Gallup
3) You must be a Navajo Indian - other American Indians cannot participate in this particular study.

Survey Seeks:

Navajo who have:
  • Graduated from High School.
  • Dropped out of High School.
  • Were expelled from High School.
  • Have had problems with alcohol, police, school officials, or NOT

This Survey is:

    • A survey on the perceptions of Gallup Navajo about their high school experience and deals with issues of racism
    • An attempt to seek justice for the Navajo

The principal investigator is:
Scott Wendell Bray, Ph.D., President NISJ

The research investigator is:
Sue Beasley, Special Populations Director, Southwest Texas Educational Agency

All survey participation is confidential and anonymous and no personal information is taken and attached to
the survey. No name, telephone number, email address, or any other information about individual
participants is available to anyone at any time.
